The enforcement of the by -i law prohibiting bicycles, coast -i er wagons and roller skates on the sidewalks is a good move .an,1 a protection to the older people, but now the younger generation requests the village fathers to pass a by-law fixing a speed limit for automobiles in the village and the strict enforcement of the law pro- vided for the blowing of the horn when nearing a corner as a protection to them. Our village fathers .are mak- ing an appeal to citizens to re- move their large ash piles which have accumulated the past six months, and are anything but pleasant to the eye to behold. A by-law of the township strict- ly prohibits the act of dumping ashes on the highways, and all that is needed is to enforce this by-law and our streets would be cleaned up quite quickly. Most people have plenty of room in their back yards for their tra- ditional pile of ashes. Just why they have not become ac- customed in depositing them there we do not know. Prob- ably it is another of those things called "our liberty". lliss Margaret IIeen Stebbins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Stebbins, Grand Bend, became the bride of Ivan L. Bourdeau was delegated by the Ministerial Association to write this article, an invitation he gladly ,accepted in true ecumenical spirit to have Catholics associate with their Protestant brethren in this all-important venture. The South lluron Ministerial Association have wisely organ- ized something new to this lo- eality. Wishing to lend assist- ance in ,solving some of the complexities and problems of a state in life as old as Adam but as modern as the space age, they are cordially inviting you to take part in 'a new ven- been moved from Tieman's furniture store to the men's club rooms. • Peter Neuschwanger and, sis- ter, of the Blind Line, have moved their effects into their hone purchased from the Ort- wein estate. ture for this district in the form of a marriage seminar to be held' in the Exeter Iligh School Thursday, April 13, 1967, beginning at 7:30 p.m. This invitation is extended to married couples, to engaged couples, to teenagers with the approval of their parents, in fact to all those • who are inter- ested no matter what their re- ligious affiliation might be. The local papers, along with posters, will give the program which promises you a most in- formative evening, presenting you with practical advice on how to be happily married. It is essential to the world that marriages be a success, The family unit is the basis of the social structure so much so that as goes the family thus goes society. The married, and those contemplating marriage (this embraces just about every- body), must realize that the success, or failure, of their pres- ent or future union affects not only themselves but has reper- eussions over the whole human race. They will come to this realization if they are 'thor- oughly convinced that marriage is a career for God more than for themselves. In it they become co -creators with the Almighty by increas- ing His family with their off- spring that they bring up as His children as well as their own. No need of saying any mare here. Come to the seminar and you will hear the rest, ZURICH LADIES' LEAGIJE March 27 II Gals, A Faber 610 5 72 Hilites, H McEwan .. 579 2 130 St'lites, P Schroeder 588 7 168 P P'pers, M Campbell 589 0 41 N Hawks, M Schilbe, J Tu kheim 526 3 143 Aces, R Hamilton _._ 572 4 38 Scamps, D Browning 597 2 48 D'aires, G Marcell _ 553 5 115 U & Downs, -I H'tman 572 0 105 Packer, F Gibson __ 694 7 155 H single: H, McEwan ____ 335 H. triple: E. You can now. A criminal or civil action, or specialized legal counsel might cost more than you can afford. Yet justice may depend on both. Inability to pay a lawyer is one of the last remaining obstacles to justice within the law. This is no longer a problem in Ontario. On March 29, 1967, a new legal assistance act became effective in. Ontario. It guarantees that no resident of this province shall be denied his legal rights because of the lack of money. You choose your own lawyer. You make application to him or your area director. Then a decision is made as to what portion of the legal costs, if any, you can pay. The difference is made up from the legal assistance fund provided by the Government of Ontario. The plan is administered by The Law Society of Upper Canada. Neither the court nor the public knows you have received legal assistance. It is a private affair between you and your lawyer. This is the most advanced solution in the world to the problem of legal assistance. And its purpose is to render justice to every man under the law. The Law Society of Upper Canada.
