The legislative and education- al committee pointed out to council that on many occasions a student transferring from one school to another finds that subjects being taught at the new school differ considerably. This is particularly noticeable among the Armed Forces per- sonnel, who move on many oc- casions. As a result of the commit- tee's recommendation, county council forwarded a resolution to Hon. William G. Davis, On- tario Minister of Education, re- questing that an effort be made to establish a more uniform system in connection with the terfield; daybed; Frigidaire 4 - burner electric stove like new; Westinghouse electric radio; writing desk; antique rocking chair; White sewing machine, like new; sewing cabinet; child's cradle; piano and stool; 3 steel beds, springs and mattresses; dressers__ wash stands; clock; Philco 30 -inch 4 -burner electric stove, like new; 12 -u. ft. refrig- erator, like new; Coleman space heater; coal and wood furnace, including blower; furnace blow- er unit and motor; washing machine; etc. No reserve as the farm is sold. A letter had been received from the University of Western Ontario relative to the matter of scholarships and bursaries now being paid by he County of Huron. It was suggested by the rep- resentatives from the Univers- ity of Western Ontario that county policy in the matter be left for review and considera- tion at the regular meeting with Western officials in the fall, with a report to be made at November session of county council. 11111_P' STARLITE DRIVE -IM THEATRE OPEN FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHTS ONLY Box Office Open at 7:45 p.m. OCTOBER 7, 8 — DOUBLE FEATURE — "Night Passage" Colour James Stewart, Audie Murphy "Kettles Go to Town" Marjorie Main Eldon Bullock and Larry Kip- per represented Emmanuel EUB congregation at the youth councillors conference held this past week -end at Trinity United C h u r c It, Kitchener.
