The meeting opened by repeating a prayer from page 267 in the hymnary. Hymn 488. was sung, Mrs, George Simons gave the meditation. Scripture was read by Mrs, Bert McBride, with comments by Mrs. Russell Erratt. Prayer by Mrs. George Simons, An Easter message wa read by Mrs. Bruce Keys. Two fine reports were heard from the Presbyterial held in Clinton by Mrs. Bob McKinley and Mrs. Anson McKinley. Zurich Queens Study Patterns The fifth meeting of the Zur- ich Accessory Queens was held on April 16 at 2 p.m„ at the home of Mrs. Norma Parkins. The roll call, "How 1: plan to trine my accessories", was an- swered by 10 members. Four dollars and fifty cents was collected for the Easter Seal campaign, Examples of piping, Chinese knot and diagonal weaving were made. Visitors during the week -end with Mr. .and Mrs. Rudolph Miller were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Clarke, of Dresden, and Mr. and Mrs, Melvin Stade and Sherrie. Mrs. Rudolph Miller is a pa- tient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Mr. Wes Ford and daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Wheeler, of Meilburg, Sask,, spent two weeks with his broth- er and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Hil- ton Ford. Mr. Ford has not been to Ontario for 50 years. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Ford were Mrs. Rose Ford and Mr. Dan Hall, of Detroit, Mich. Mrs, Millie Hughes returned to Windsor after spending five weeks with her sister, Mrs. Hilton Ford. 4.H Girls The sixth meeting of the Dashwood Dainty Dressers was held at the home of Diane Becker with seven present. The meeting opened with the pledge followed by the roll call. Mrs, Leonard Schenk read a letter from Miss Liddiard, home economist. Notes were given on gloves, belts and jewellry —how to select and care for them. The seventh meeting was held at the home of Joanne Martine with all members pres- ent. Following opening exer- cises Mrs, Schenk explained to the girls the samples which must be completed and in their record books. Achievement Day, May 14, was discussed. Notes were given on "wearing your accessories". Each girl modelled her accessories and also scored them. The final meeting will be April 30 at the home of Mrs, Leonard Schenk. LWML Meeting The quarterly meeting of the Lutheran Women's Mission- ary League was held with the president, Mrs. William Gatz, presiding, Rev, Getz took as his topic, "Preparing for the ministry". This showed the roll of women in the Christian ministry. Mrs, Albert Miller was nomi- nated as president for one year. The ladies rolled bandages. Clothes for men and -children are still needed.
