New Stephen Central School
The new central school being built to serve the people
in Stephen Township is rapidly coming to completion. Work-
men are now busy in the interior of the building, finishing
off the classrooms. A former resdent of Zurich, Ronald
Heimrich has been appointed as principal of the new school,
and will commence his duties this fall.

Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Truem-
ner, Zurich, are spending two
weeks in Hensall at the home
of their daughter and son-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fuss,
while Mr. and Mrs. Fuss and
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hyde spend
two weeks in Florida.
The Zurich Women's Insti-
tute meeting will be held on
Thuesday evening, March 15, at
the Town Hall. Guest speaker
for the evening will be Mrs.
Elgin McKinley. Everyone is
welcomed to this meeting.
Obituary
MRS. SAM GASCHO
Mrs, Samuel Gascho, the
former Sarah Ellen Beacom,
passed away suddenly on Fri-
day at her home in Harriston
at the age of 73.
Surviving, besides her hus-
band, are: daughter, Mrs. Roy
(Phyllis) Castle, Port Colborne;
sons, Jack, Harriston; Robert
of Willowdale; sisters, Miss
Maude Beacom; Mrs. Noble
(Phoebe) Young, both of Goder
ich; Mrs. James (Mary) Harris,
Bayfield.
The body rested at the Hardy
funeral home in Harriston un-
til Monday, March 7, when
funeral service was conducted
at the Harristan United Church.
Burial was made in the Harris -
ton cemetery.
