Lose First Game
To Alvinston Six

Zurich MAA Juveniles on
Tuesday evening of this week
lost the first game of a best
of five series to a short-handed
but hustling Alvinston crew.
The Juveniles will now play
the second game :in Alvinston
on Friday night.
Zurich led 1.0 at the end of
the first period on a goal by
Kevin McKinnon, Then in the
second frame the visitors scored
twice on goals by D, Dundas
and D McLean and the home-
sters scored one by Bill Hoff-
man to tie the score 'at two all,
The third stanza was a re-
peat of the second, as D. May
and R, McLean scored early in
the period but Zurich kept try-
ing for the two clinching goals
but could manage only one, by
Barry Bloch,
Zurich's netminder, Garry
Geoffrey, was hit in the face
by a puck in the third period.
The game was delayed for about
five minutes, but he returned
to the game with a black eye
and played as well as ever.
There was a large crowd
from Alvinston •at the game to
support their favorites.
Zurich Midgets Win Group Title
The Zurich 1VIAA Midgets were a happy group Monday
night, when they eliminated Hensall in the fourth games
of their best-ef-five serim They won the series three
games to one, and now play Paisley in the next round of
the WOAA playoffs. First game in this series was played
last night in the Hensall Arena. The members of the team
are shown here as they whoop it up immediately after their
Monday night victory.

Zurich Lions Midgets, by vir-
tue of a 5-2 win over Hensall in
the Zurich Arena on Monday
of this week, will advance into
the second round of the WOAA
playdowns.
The home team lost the first
game in Hensall a week ago
but roared back for three
straight victories to win the
series 3-1.
In the first game Hensall
beat Zurich 2-1. Hensall scor-
ers were Welder and Sararas.
Zurich's lone tally carne off the
stick of David Stark.
The next game Zurich won
by an impressive 5-2 victory.

Aubrey Bedard, Coon Corri-,
veau and Bob Webb. Scorers
for Hensall were Schwalm and
Smale.
The third game was a thriller
as Zurich finally emerged as
the victor by a 5-3 score. Zur-
ich led 4-1 with a little over
three minutes remaining but
Hensall scored two quick, un-
answered goals to creep up on
Zurich 4-3, but the Zurich team
scored a goal a few minutes
later to put the fire out.
Scorers for Zurich were
Kevin McKinnon; Zeke Hesse,
Bob Webb and Coon Corriveau,
Schwalm scored all three Hen-
sall goals.
The fourth game was to be
the final game of the season
for the Hensall entry as they
were beaten by a fired -up Zur-
ich team, The home team

1 WARBLE FLY CONTROL
Township of Stanley
1 APPLICATIONS will be received by the Township of
Stanley for the position of WARBLE FLY INSPECTOR
for the year 1966. Inspector must be familiar with
the Warble Fly Act and must keep an accurate record
of cattle sprayed. Salary will be a $1.35 per hour and
8 cents per mile for mileage.
Applications to be marked as such and to be in the
hands of the Clerk by March 5, 1966.
2. TENDERS will be received by the Township of Stanley
for SPRAYING cattle for Warble Fly Control for 1966,
The Township will supply the powder, Tender to state
price per head per spray.
3. TENDERS will be received for supplying approximately
1000 pounds of WARBLE FLY POWDER, to be de-
livered to the township shed in Varna, quoted in 1-1b.

Zurich Bantams Oust Hensall Now
Play Clinton RCAF for Group Title

Friday night Zurich Bantams
beat Hensall 8-2. In the first
period Zurich outscored their
rivals from Hensall, 3-0. In the
second period they outscored
them .again 2-0. In the third
period the Zurich squad beat
them to the punch again 3-2.
Scorers were Shane McKinnon
with four goals and two assists;
John McKinley with one goal
and three assists; Richard
Schilbe with one goal and two
assists; Jahn Corriveau and
Larry Hess with one goal each
while Garry Hess and Ronnie
Desjardine each had one assist.
Hensall scorers were Sararas
and Pryde,
On Monday the high -flying
Zurich squad defeated an un-
dermanned Hensall team 15-3.
An outstanding game was play-
ed by Zurich's slick young cen-
tre, Richard Schilbe. He scored
seven goals and had one assist
to beat the Hensall squad al-
most single handed, Shane Mc-
kinnon earned an assist on all
seven of Richard's goals.
John McKinley played a ster-
ling game on right wing on this
smooth -working line, and al-
though he did not -score he
was digging all night and came
up with five assists. The whole
team was flying throughout the
game and other scorers were
Ronnie Desjardine with two
goals and one assist; John. Cor
riveau with a goal and .an as•
silt; John Becker with one
goal; Fred Armstrong with a
goal and an assist; Garry Hess
with two goals and two assists;
Doug Coaon with one goal- and
two assists; Paul Flaxbard with
two 'assists and Randy Becker
and Larry Hess each with one
assist,
Hensall scorers were Moir
with two goals; Chappel one
goal; Munn two assists and
Pryde with one assist,
Three penalties were handed
out with two going to Zurich.
These games completed the
round-robin series with Hensall
and Clinton RCAF. Zurich with
three wins and a tie and Clin-
ton RCAF with two wins and
-a tie, now enter' a best of two
of three playoff for group
honors. The first) game of
the series was played in Zurich
Wednesday at 8:30; the seconds
