Employment conditions in
most of Huron County contin-
ued toshow noticeable im-
provement during the month
of March, 1965, in comparison
with the same period last year,
according to figures released by
the Goderich office of the Na-
tional Employment Service,
At the end of March, 1965,
571 persons were registered for
employment with the NES,
compared to 665 at the same
time a year ago. The decrease
applied to both male and female
applicants.
Mr. Jutras, manager of the
Goderich NES, stated that the
most significant aspect is the
decrease in unemployment de-
spite poor weather conditions,
and also at a time when the
labor force Itself has been ex•
pending at unusual rates. Since
the beginning of the year, the
employment picture in Goderieh
district has continued to show
steady improvement.
