He has been transferred to

Huron Groups
Patricia Damude, home econ-
omist for Huron County, re-
cently announced that "The
Garden Clug —Preservation of
Fruits and Vegetables" is the
project chosen by the Huron
County 4-H Homemaking Club
for spring, 1965.
Three one -day training schools
for the local leaders are being
held in Clinton, in Wingham,
and on Friday, March 26, in
Hensall Legion Hall.
The topics for discussion will
include planning of the garden,
preparation of soil, planting,
thinning, transplanting, cultvai
tion and insect, weed and dis-
ease control.
On Monday, April 5, leaders
of both homemaking and
agricultural clubs will attend a
Huron Country 4-H Leaders
Conference in Londesboro at
the United Church. This con-
ference will open with a ban-
quet at 11:45 a.m.
In the afternoon topics of in-
terest to 4-H Club leaders will

Hensall Curling. Club finished
out their season with a social
evening Tuesday and announced
the winners of the different

The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
a street length gown of blush
pink silk organza, with a white
lace bodice overlay, three-quar-
ter length sleeves and princess
style with a panel at the back.
A satin wedding ring headdress
held her shoulder length illu-
sion veil. She carried a bou-
quet of white roses and carna-
tions.
Mrs. Kenneth Riggs, London,
atended the bride as matron of
h o n o u r. She wore a street
length dress of sea mist green
silk organza with a fited bodice
and bell skirt and three --quar-
ter length sleeves. She carried
a bouquet of white carnations.
Floyd Blanchard, L o n d o n,
brother of the groom, was best
man and Allan Roszel, Hensall,
brother of the bride, and Jim
Coleman, of London, ushered.
The organist played tradi-
tional wedding music and also
accompanied the solist, Mrs.
Bruce Baker, of London, who
sang, "The Wedding Prayer",
and "Because", during the sign-
ing of the register.
The bride's mother wore a
navvy three-piece dress with
navy and white straw hat, and
a corsage of pink Sweetheart
roses. The groom's mother
wore a navy dress with a match-
ing lace jacket and a pink
flowered hat with a corsage of
Talisman roses.
A reception was held in the
church hall, which was decor-
ated with pink and white bells

On the evening of April 1, a
food forum will be held in the
Brussel's Legion Hall, This
will be the first time such a
program has been presented in
Huron County.
A food forum is sponsored by
the home economics service of
the Ontario Department of
Agriculture upon the request

county.
When interest is shown in a
community, an advisory com-
mittee of five or six women is
set up, This group decides on
the topic, place, date and time
of the food forum. Home econ-
omists from the Ontario Depart.
ment of Agriculture prepare the
food and present the forum.
No admission is charged and
the meeting is open to all
women in the surrounding area.
During the form, which last
about two hours, the informa-
tion on the topics selected is
presented through demonstra-
tions and discussion. There
