Mr. and Mrs. Howard Klumpp
are leaving this week on a fly-
ing trip to England, France and
Belgium. They expect to be
gone some three weeks. Dur-
ing their absence, Brad and
Smokey will be guests with Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Guenther and
family.
Mrs. William Miller has re-
turned home from St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, where she
was a patient for some time,
undergoing tests.
Gordon Kraft, Rev. William
Gatz and Reinhold Miller at-
tended the fiscal conference at
St. Paul's Parish Hall, Kit-
chener, last week.
Sunday guests with Mr. and
Mrs. Ervin Rader and family
were Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Wei -
berg and family, of Waterloo,
and Mr, and Mrs. Wendell Gam-
ble and family, of London.
Week -end guests with Fred
Weiberg included Mr. and Mrs.
Hubert Weiberg and daughter;
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Weiberg
and fancily, of Waterloo, and
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Weiberg and
Judy, of Lucan.
The play, "Holy Smoke", pre-
sented by the Stratford Walter
League and sponsored by Dash-
wood Walther League of Zion
Lutheran Church, was enjoyed
by all who turned out to see it
Friday evening in the church
basement.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart,
of London, spent the week -end
with Mr. and MMlrs. Jack Geiser
and Kim.
Rev. William Getz attended a
district Walther League execu-
tive meeting Sunday at Holy
Cross Lutheran Church, Kit-
chener.

at the Fischer Bearing Co. in
Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reste-
mayer, accompanied Mr. and
Mrs, Victor Kraft, of London,
to Toronto where they spent
the week -end with Mr. and Mrs.
Percy Palmer.
L.WML Attends Bienniel Meeting
Several members of the
LWML of Zion Lutheran Church
attended the eighth biennial
convention of the Ontario. Dis-
trict Lutheran Missionary
League at Redemmer Lutheran
Church, Monkton, on Saturday,
Rev. Fred C. Otton, profes-
sor at Seminario Concordio,
Porto Algere, Brazil, was guest
speaker.
Projects for the coming year
include, $500 to a native stu-
dent in Nigeria; $500 to Braille
Paul Soles and Anna Cameron, hosts of CBC -TV's popular
afternoon network show Take Fifty, always research their
upcoming programs. For a series on Take Thirty this fall
dealing with life in Japan, Anna and Paul spent months
learning all about this country before spending three weeks
in Tokyo and Kyoto filming interviews with all types of
people — from night club entertainers to high government
officials.

Men's Congress
A number •of men from the
Evangelical UB Church attend-
ed the Men's Congress at Olivet
EUB Church, Kitchener, Satur-
day.
Anniversary Services
The 112th anniversary of the
Dashwood EUB Church was
held Sunday with special serv-
ices morning and night. At the
morning service Dr. Craig Bran-
denburg, of Dayton, Ohio, took
as his text, "Able to Stand".
Miss Carolyn Neuman, of Pem-
broke, was guest soloist. At
the evening service, Rev. Grant
Bomberger, of Ayr, was speak-
er with the . text, "Reaching
Forward" and the Earl Oesch
family, of Zurich, provided the
singing. Zurich and Crediton
congregations joined with Dash-
wood for the evening service.
Former Dashwood
Minister Heads
Public Relations
Pastor Kenneth L. Zorn, Burl-
ington, has announced his ac-
ceptance to the post of director
of public relations for the On-
tario District of the Lutheran
Church—Canada.
The former pastor at Dash -
wood's Zion Lutheran Church
will organize and set up the
public relations department in
the church throughout Ontario,
with the main purpose of mak-
ing known the work and activ-
ities of the Lutheran Church —
Canada,
"It will take several years to
truly arrange and work out such
a program throughout Ontario,"
said Pastor Zorn.
