British Mortgage Expanding With
Several New Branches in Toronto
Fourteen branch offices of
British Mortgage & Trust Com-
pany will be in operation by the
end of February with the open-
ing in Toronto of 4 new branch
offices on February- 7. Two
will open at 1887 Eglinton Ave-
nue West and at 1520 Danforth,
and two more on February 28
at 635 College Street and at 2262
Bloor Street. Head office of
the 87 -year-old company is in
Stratford and main Toronto
branch is at 2200 Yong° Street.
These four new Toronto of -
flees will make available the
many services of the company
to Toronto area customers who
for over 40 years. have used
primarily the company's mort-
gage services. Among the serv-
ice provided are savings ae-
counts. guaranteed certificates,
real estate services, property
management and a wide range
of trust services.
The exterior of each new To-
ronto office is similar for easy
recognition. A striking and
classic design uses a unique Ca-
nadian marble for exterior
facing.
Following the policy adopted
in all British Mortgage build-
ings, these offices are built and
furnished with Canadian mater-
ials, products and workmanship.
Whether custom?made or fac-
tory produced, furniture, rugs
and drapery exemplify the best
in Canadian design. The handi-
work of Canadian artists, pot-
ters and scoulptors is used to
decorate the offices.
Office hours of the four new
branch offices are planned to
meet the needs of people in the
shopping areas in which they
are located. On Saturdays the
offices will be open until 3
o'clock and on Friday evenings
until 8:30 p.m.
Founded in 1877, British Mort-
gage has ovevr 80 million dol-
lars in assets. President and
Managing Director of the com-
pany is Wilfrid P. Gregory, Q.C.

-- The Bible's National (message —
Have you ever given any thought to the
claim that the British or Celto-Saxon peoples
are the continuation of God's servant race
and nation Israel, and that our ancient Throne
is the one called in the Bible the Throne of
David?
This identity is certain, and its implications
are so great that a general recognition of it
is a matter of vital and urgent importance.
Today the world is in o mess which is beyond
human control, and the Bible, which long ago
foretold the coming of these conditions, indi-
cates very clearly that the only possible solu-
tion is the coming of that righteous social
order and world government called in the
Scriptures the Kingdom of God,
It is to direct Israel in the setting up and
the administration of this Kingdom, and to
reign over it from the Throne of David, that
Jesus is corning back to earth and, as all
signs point to the imminence of this Great
Event, a general. recognition of our lsraelitish
identity AND its implications is imperative!

erful implement of economic

ducted by Mr. Fischer. Mr. R.

Plan Meeting
The annual meeting of the
Huron County Junior Farmers
and Junior Institute will be held
on February 21 at 8:15 pan. in
the Seafoiih District High
School. A former Junior Farm
er overseas delegate, Mary Ken
nedy, will show her slides of
the trip, and the well-known
Norman Lindsay will be leading
the recreation.
Special booklets are being
printed concerning the past
year's activities of the local
clubs throughout the County.
The age requirements for the
senior beef heifer calves for
breeding purposes as well as
beef steers and heifers for mar
ket purposes have been changed
to coincide with the age require
ments of the senior dairy calves,
i.e.: They must be born between
July 1 and December 31 of the
year previous to the club year
It is realized that some calves
may already have been pur-
chased for use in club work this
year, which are outside of the
new age range. In such cases
an exception will be made for
this year only, and members
having such salves will be al-
lowed to use them.
Huron County 4-H Livestock
Clubs will be organized during
