Mrs. Jack Green and daugh-
ter, Mrs. Audrey James, of Van -1
couver, B.C., are visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Allan, of
Tuckersmith. Mrs. Green is a
sister of Mr. Allan, and they
have not met for 14 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Seaton, of
Brockville, visited over the
weekend with their daughter
and son-in-law, Rev. D. Ross
MacDonald, Mrs. MacDonald
and family, at the Presbyterian
manse. Mr. Seaton was very
much impressed with this part
IA the country, and thinks Hen-
sall is a very nice village.
Mrs. Ross MacMillan and Dav-
id. of Kitchener, spent Wednes-
day of last week with the form-
er's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laird
Alickle and family.
Mr. and Mrs. David Coleman,
of Springhill, NS, are guests
this week at the Presbyterian
Manse with Rev. and Mrs. Mac-
Donald and family. Mr. Cole-
man is an Elder in St. David's
Presbyterian Church, at Spring-
hill, N.S., where Mr. MacDonald
Ministered for three years be-
fore coming to Hensall.
Miss Marilyn Smith and Mr.
Glen Tedball, of Thedford,
spent Sunday with the former's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred
Snaith,
Mr, and Mrs, Clendon Christ -
Miss Greta Lamm.e, of
Hensall, a very faithful and
efficient organist of Hen -
sell United Church for over
20 years, has tendered her
resignation which became
effective this week. No
successor has been named
as yet for the position

ARNOLD CIRCLE
HENSALL — The Arnold Cir-
cle of Carmel Church met Mon-
day evening for their first meet-
ing of the fall season, presided
over by the president, Mrs. B.
Beaton, who extended a wel-
come to Mrs. MacDonald. The
worship period with the theme,
"Obedience" was taken by Mrs.
Gerald Bell and Mrs. Don Mous-
seau. Members answered the
roll call with the verse "Obey."
A motion was passed to pur-
chase the Study Book and 75
Church Calendars. Thirty-one
visits were reported. Mrs. R.
A. Orr was appointed Cradle
Roll secretary, to replace Mrs.
William Fink, who recently
took up residence in Clinton.
Mrs. Trevor Wilson will assist
Home Helpers. Members are
reminded that GIad Tidings
subscriptions are due, and do-
nations for supply to the Indian
School are due.
Miss Lorna Taylor, of Lon-
don, will be guest speaker at
their Thank -Offering meeting to
be held in October. Hostesses
will be Mrs. John Baker and
Mrs. Don Mousseau. Worship
will be in charge of Mrs. Ed.
Fink, and Mrs. Ruby Bell.
Miss Hannah Murray presen-
ted a report on the Presbyter-
ial held at Blyth.

Art Group
The Hensall Art Group com-
menced their fall activities on
Friday last, and are doing a
series of landscaping around
Hensall district, Mrs. Edith
Ashton, of Huron Park, is the
art instructor.
The Hensall-Huron Park art
group were successful in win-
ning fourth prize at Western
Fair as a group, with eight
groups represented. Their prize
was $25.

Kenneth R .Cudmore, of Lon-
don, lucky winner of the $25,000
Shriner's Home at the Western
Fair, London, Saturday night, is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Cudmore, of Exeter, and was
the grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Dick, of Hensall.
Kenneth is 32 years of age, a
carpenter by trade and father
of three children.
