(By our Kippen correspondent)
In a lovely mid -summer wed-
ding at St. Andrew's United
Church, Kippen, Saturday, July
15, at 3 p.m., Eileen Rosanne
McLean became the bride of
Amos Alexander Townsend, in
a ceremony performed by the
Rev. Harold Johnson amid a
floral setting of pink glads, and
white 'mums edged in blue,
ferns and candeleabra. The
bride is the daughter of Mr.
Fern McLean, Toronto, and the
late Mrs. McLean, and a niece
of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Johnson,
Kippen. The groom's parents

Miss Jean Ivison, of Kippen,
church organist, provided wed-
ding music and accompanied
the soloist, Miss Dorothy Park-

Given in marriage by her un-
cle, Mr, Allan Johnson, Kippen,
the bride chose a floor length
bridal gown of sheer organza
over tulle and taffeta fashioned
with sabrina neckline, appli-
qued with French lace sprink-
led with sequins and pearls. A
bouffant skirt outlined with the
same applique outlined the fit-
ted bodice and her veil of Fren-
ch illusion was held by a crown
of sequins and pearls. She car-
ried a white Bible crested with
pink sensation roses, stephanotis
and ivy. Bridal attendants,

es and carried a gathering bask-
et of iceberg 'mums, pink pino-
chio poms and ferns.

tended the groom, and Mack
McLean, Seaforth, and Donald
Johnston, Kippen, ushered gues-
ts.
For receiving guests at the
wedding reception held in the
church parlours, Mrs. Johnson,
aunt of the bride, wore mauve
flowered nylon with organza
overlay, accessories in white,
and a corsage of regal gold ros-
es and stephanotis. The groom's
mother chose a blue lace gown
with corsage of pink delight ros-
es and stephanotis.

aine Hodgins and Phyllis Hod-
gson, Kathy Anderson, London;
