Exeter scored their lone run in the third. Exeter batters reached first base. The well -played game was highlighted by a couple of shoe- string catches by centre fielder Doug O'Brien, which robbed the Exeter crew of sure hits. 0 Zuric'h Thumps Kirkton 26-3 Led by the thumping bat of Paul Pearson, the Zurich Lum- berkings powdered the Kirkton nine 26-3 last Friday night, in one of the most lopsided games played in the Huron -Perth leag- ue for many years. The Zurich crew pounded out a total of 19 hits in the six -inning contest. Pearson led the onslaught on three Kirkton, pitchers, as he smashed out five hits in five time at bat, including two doub- les and a triple.
