ier and children, London, spent
the weekend with the later's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cor-
riveau, in this neighbourhood.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mernovid-
ge Detroit and Mrs. Gerard Geof-
froi, of Walkerton, spent Sun-
day last in St. Joseph visiting
the Geoffroi family and also
other relatives and friends in
the surroundings.
Harry Dietrich and family, Zur-
ich. Mrs. Deitrich spent a few
days with her parents during
the week..
On Friday last the following
ladies motored to London to at-
tend the Womans' Retreat held
at Brescia Hall, The ladies in
attendance were Mrs. Morris
Durand, Mrs. Adolph Sopha,
Mrs. Wilfred Corriveau, Mrs.
Nettie Harvey, Mrs. Alex Meid-
inger, Mrs. Melvon Overholt.
The retreat was given by Father
Odorico Schmid, OFM.
Mr. Nelson Papineau accom-
panied by the Rev. Father Bel-
anger, both of Windsor, were
visitors over the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sararas of
this highway, and Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Denomme, of Dashwood,
and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Duchar-
me, of the 15th concession. Fa-
ther Belanger, a newly ordained
priest, said his third Sunday
mass in this parish. The above
named are uncle and aunts to
both of them. They also cal-
led on the Ducharmes on their
return. Father Belanger's mo-
ther is a native born of this
parish and a direct descendant
of the pioneer Denomme family.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Masse
and family, London, were Sun-
day last visitors witht he later's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Be-
dard of this highway.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ducharme
and son David Alfred, of Dash-
wood, were Sunday last callers
with the former's parents, on
the Blue Water Highway.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Denomme,
Detroit, spent the past weekend
in their summer cottage at the
Denomme summer resort.
Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Masse, De-
troit, spent a few days in their
farm home on this highway.
The past weekend visitors at
the Adolph Sopha home on this
highway were Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Sopha and family,

There was a large attendance
to join the young priest, Father
Ducharme's parents are natives
of this parish and it was a pleas-
ure for them to join the young
priest.. Father Ducharme is the
grandson of yours truly, and
Mrs. Ducharme, He too is a dir-
ect deeendant of the early pion-
eers of this parish, therefore
making it pleasing for him to
offer Mass for them. Those two
young priests will soon receive
their assignment for their first
charge, and we are certain they
are well qualified to discharge
that sacred duty which will be
entrusted to them.
