Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hedden, Lin-
da and Sam, St. Catharines, spent
Easter with Mrs. Catharine Hed-
den and Herb, and with Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shorthouse,
St. Catharines, were Easter visitors
with their son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Shorthouse and
family.
Miss Elvin Churchill, Toronto,
was an Easter guest with her sis-
ter, Mrs. Pearl Shaddick, and nep-
hew Bill.
Miss. R. Stephenson, of RR 1,
Varna, has purchased the home of
Mr. James A. Paterson, on King
Street, and gets possession on June
1.
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. hcCloy, Cathy,
Christen and Jiminy, Toronto,
spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs.
George Hess. The children will stay
with their grandparents for a
week's holiday.

Weddings of Interest
Hendrick -Finlay
Evangelical. U.B. Church, Zurich,
was the setting for the marriage of
Elizabeth Finlay and Harold Hend-
rick, on Saturday, March 25. The
bride is the daughter of Harold
Finlay and the late Mrs. Finlay,
Zurich, and the groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hendrick,
RR 1, Dashwood.
Rev. A. M. Amacher performed
the double ring ceremony.
The bride, who was given in mar-
riage by her father, wore a street
length gown of white lace over
taffeta, with a scoop neckline, A
halo of iridescent sequins and
pearls held her shoulder length
veil. She carried white Easter lil-
ies and pink roses.
Matron of honour was Mary
Finlay, sister of the bride, and she
wore a street length, gown of blue
silk organza over taffeta and car-
ried yellow daffodils and white
'mums.
Bridesmaid, Irene Hendrick, sis-
ter of the groom, wore a street
length gown of yellow silk organ-
za over taffeta and carried yellow
daffodils and white 'mums.
Groomsman was Don Hendrick,
Crediton, cousin of the groom, and
James DesJardine, London, usher-.
ed.
Soloist Dennis Amacher, sang,
"The Wedding Prayer," and "0
Perfect Love."
For receiivng guests the groom's
mother chose a blue lace dress and
a corsage of pink roses. The wed-
ding dinner was held at the Dom-
inion Hotel, Zurich, and a reception
is to be held in the Zurich Com-
munity Centre, on Friday, April 7.
For travelling the bride chose a
mauve suit with white accessories.
The couple will reside on the
groom's farm on the 14th conces-
sion of Hay.

St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zur-
ich, was the setting for the wed,
ding of Donna Rae Alice Fisher,
and John Mathers, on Saturday,
March 25. The bride is the Baugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fisher,
Zurich, and the groom's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Mathers, RR
1, Ailsa Craig. Rev. W. P. Fischer
officiated at the double ring cere-
mony.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose a floor length gown
of white organza over taffeta with
a scoop neckline and lily point
sieves. The fixed bodice was trim-
med with lace and sequins and the
bouffant skirt was accented by a
large bow at the back. A pearl
tiara held her shoulder length veil,
and she carried a bouquet of yellow
roses.
Mrs. Douglas Armstrong, of Zur-
ich, was the matron of honour for
her sister. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Dorothy Morrison, Kirkton,
and Miss Mary Mathers, sister of
the groom, and flower girl was
Miss Laurie Morrison, Kirkton.
They were gowned alike in dresses
of green chromspun taffeta with
fitted bodices and full skirts, gath-
ered in loose pleats. They carried
baskets of yellow snap -dragons and
white 'mums.
Groomsman was Mr. Ross Math-
ers, brother of the groom, and Mr.
Reginald Morrison and Mr. Douglas
Armstrong were ushers. Marlene
and Darlene Frayne sang "The
Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's
Prayer", accompanied by Ronald
Klopp.
Receiving guests at the Zurich
Community Centre, the bride's
mother wore a mauve dress with
black and mauve accessories and a
gardinia corsage. The mother of
the groom wore a dress of blue lace
with matching blue and black acces-
sories and a gardenia corsage.
For travelling to points east, the
bride chose a mauve dress with
purple and grey accessories. The
couple will reside in London, where
the groom is employed.
