Thursday evening last lights could
be seen flickering along the lake
bank. Rather early in the season
but today all is making advancing
steps in this wide world, in style
gaiety and other advancements,
then the vacationists will not be
the last on the advancement list.
The weather the past week was
fairly good for them and others to
travel about. The little fall of
snow that fell on Friday night was
not enough of a set -back for vis-
itors, for it was a short duration,
and did not leave any; obstacles in
their way to enjoy their holidays,
Easter Sunday was the return trip
for many of them, to their home.
The weather was disagreeable
with high winds, lower temperatur-
es and some snow had fallen to
make Easter Sunday an unpleasant
one. Regardless of all, once again
the people throughout the land
celebrated Easter Sunday, the Res-
serection Day was observed in all
christianized countries and in some
way or another by all Christians.

In this parish, the religious part
of passion week and Easter cere-
mony, we believve, far surpassed
those of past years in attendance.
There were many visitors and as
well some from neighbouring par-
ishes which contributed greatly to
the large attendance. Perhaps too,
with so much ill feeling .and dis-
agreement existing today, and no
immediate hope of bringing nations
to some sane conclusions, may have
some influence in bringing people
to a more religious attention and
with the hope that prayer and sac-
rifice will have effect in vanguish-
ing those who are supposed in us-
ing their tyranny. In any case, in
this little parish, under the guid-
ance of the parish priest, Father
Poisson, parishioners can well be
commented on and worthy of praise
for the religious part they have
showed not only during the passion
week and Easter ceremony but
throughout the entire Easter Len-
ten Season.
Lent and Easter Sunday, accord-
ing to legends of old, dates back to
the first century, the first Eater
being on or about the seventh'day
of April in the year of thirty-four
