Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smithers, of
London, spent the weekend with

and Mrs. Jack Bell.
• Gerald Toonk, who was gored by
a boar on his father's farm on No-
vember 13, has returned home,
after spending 22 days in Scott
Memorial hospital, and is back to
normal again.
Holy communion service was ad-
ministered Sunday morning in St.
Andrew's United church with the
minister, Rev. A. H. Johnston in
charge. Br aura Binnendyk con-
tributed a solo "From Manger To
The Cross," which was much en-
joyed by the congregation.
Recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Allan Johnston were Mr. and
Mrs. G. Ingram, of Hensall, Mr. and
Mrs, E. Johnson, Gary, Randy and
Tim, also Miss Lois Rathwell, of
Varna.

chuckle when she wanted to know
why I had let the kids drop celery
all over the living room.

were played. Following this an
address was read.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were pre-
sented with a lamp ,and an anni-
versary cup and saucer.

OBITUARY
Mrs. H. McGregor
Mrs. Hugh McGregor, 90, passed
away at Clinton Public Hospital, on
Saturday, January 7, where she
had been a patient for the past few
weeks. She resided i n Hensall
for several years, but spent most of
her life in the Kippen area. Mrs.
McGregor, the former Jessie Ann
McClean, was predeceased by her
husband some years ago, and is sur-
vived by one slaughter, Mrs. Joe
(Edna) McLellan, of Hensall, one
brother, J. W. McClean, of Seafor-
th, and two grandchildren.
Public funeral service was con-
ducted by Rev. Harold Johnston„
of Brucefield, at Bonthron f u n-
eral home, in Hensall, on Monday,
January 9. Interment was made
in Hensall Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert a n d
Jim McGregor, John Sinclair, Ross
Broadfoot, William Bell and Wilson
McCartney.

William Parker

Mr. Parker is survived by his
widow, the former Eva Norris, two
sons, Arthur, of Seaforth and Bill,
at home; two daughters, Mrs.
Clarence (Margaret) Ruston, of
Stratford and Betty Parker, of
London; three brothers, Wilbert
and Harold, Hensall, and Gordon,
Exeter. There is also one grand-
son.
Public funeral service was held
from the Bonthron funeral home,
at Hensall, on Monday, January 9,

and conducted by Rev. R. G•
Winlaw. Interment was made in
McTaggart's cemetery.
Paulbearers were John Jarrott,
Bill Mickle, Lloyd Venner, Carl
Stoneman, Alvin Cole and Clar-
ence Volland.

William George Parker, 61, drop-
ped dead on Saturday, January 7,
at the farm of Rochus Faber, where
he was delivering feed. He was
born in Hay township in 1900 and
farmed at Chiselhurst before mov-
ing to Hensall 11 years ago. Since
then he was employed at Miek-

The January meeting of Dash-
wod WI was held Tuesday evening,
as
a social evening. The Agricul-
ture and Canadian Industries group
was in charge, with Mrs. Harold
Rader as convener.
Mrs. Leonard Schenk, the presi-
dent, presided for the business
committees were appointed to look
after the millinery course in Feb-
ruary and the euchre in January.
The roll call was to bring some-
thing made, sewn, or grown, and
Mrs: Addison Tiernan very cap-
ably auctioner them off. Euchre
was played with Mrs. Charles Snell,
high; Mrs. Leonard Schenk, low;
and Mrs. Ervin Schade, lucky
chair. The groups served lunch.
Mr. and Mrs.. Ray Kretzman and
Billie, of Detroit, spent the week-
end with Mrs. Cora Gaiser.
Miss Thehna Weber, of Loudon,
spent the weekend with Mrs. Dan
Weber.
Mr. Bob Hayter has purchased
one of Mr. Howard Klumpp's hous-
es.
