Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Smillie, of
Niagara Falls, attended, and re-
ported that their son, Lieut. Col.
R. A. Smillie, R.C.A. M.C. and fa-
mily are being transferred from
Vancouver to Germany. Dr. and
Mrs. Smillie and their four daugh-
ters and families who reside at far
distant points are planning a
week's holiday together, the first
in many years at Turkey Point, on
Lake Erie. Mrs. Ben Smillie, To-
ronto, attended and reported that
her son, Rev. Ben Smillie, his wife
and family, are moving from Van-
couver to Boston, Mass., to do post
graduate work.

At Seaforth Park

The twenty-first annual reunion
of the Smillie Clan was held at
Lions Park, Seaforth, on. Saturday,
July 9, with 81 seats occupied at
the bountiful picnic tables.
In the absence of the president,
Mr, Lorne Elder, of Hamilton,
was master of ceremonies. The fol-
lowing events took place.
Boys and girls race, under six,
Ralph Geiger, John Elder; girls
7 to 9 years, Kathy Bider; girls,
10 to 12 years, Jean. Elder, Marg-
aret Shepherd; boys, 10 to 12
Starlite Theatre
Outdoor Service
Draws Close to 800
A crowd of close to 800 people
attended the first open air church
service at the Starlite Drive -In
Theatre, last Sunday night, when
the guest speaker was Rev. Rudy
Peterson, of Detroit.
The interdenominational servic-
es, sponsored by area churches,
will be held each Sunday night
during July and August.
This Sunday evening, the peo-
ple will be priviledged to hear Da-
vid McClurkin, of Galt, a dynam-
ic youth speaker. The guest solo-
ist will be Miss Shirley Martin,
of Gait.
Special music will be supplied
at this service by the Thedford
Silver Band, assisted by members
of the Dashwood Band. There will
also be a massed choir in atten-
dance.
Proceeds from these outdoors
services will be given to the Bible
Society, Gideons, and Good Will
Missions.
