Peace In A Troubled World
THE LEGACY OF CHRIST
Jn. 14:27 — Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto
you: NOT AS THE WORLD GIVETH GIVE I UNTO
YOU. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be
afraid.
Jn. 16:33 — These things I have spoken unto you, that in
me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tri-
bulation : but be of good cheer, I have overcome the
world.
"And the peace of God which passeth all understanding
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Three police villages in Stephen
township -- Dashwood, Crediton
and Centralia - will be assessed
an additional three mills on their
1960 tax rate, council decided
Tuesday.
The new levy will represent the
police villages' share of adminis-
tration costs in the township. Pri-
or to this year they have made no
contribution toward salaries and
expenditures of the clerk, asses-
sor and other township officials.
A supplemental bylaw, request-
ing approval for a $7,000 addition
to the 1960 roads budget of $53,-
000, was approved.
Council approved a formal mo-
tion confirming its request for a
liquor vote in the township. The
resolution read: "because the coun-
cil deems it expedient and desi-
rable
esirable to submit certain questions
to the qualified electors, the Li-
quor Licence Board be approach-
ed to set a date for holding such
a vote."
Reeve Glenn Webb presided and
all members were present. Next
meeting will be held August 2.
