Three police villages in Stephen township -- Dashwood, Crediton and Centralia - will be assessed an additional three mills on their 1960 tax rate, council decided Tuesday. The new levy will represent the police villages' share of adminis- tration costs in the township. Pri- or to this year they have made no contribution toward salaries and expenditures of the clerk, asses- sor and other township officials. A supplemental bylaw, request- ing approval for a $7,000 addition to the 1960 roads budget of $53,- 000, was approved. Council approved a formal mo- tion confirming its request for a liquor vote in the township. The resolution read: "because the coun- cil deems it expedient and desi- rable esirable to submit certain questions to the qualified electors, the Li- quor Licence Board be approach- ed to set a date for holding such a vote." Reeve Glenn Webb presided and all members were present. Next meeting will be held August 2. :.".!Lac;, ::0,...,,:keW ;_"Z "iA' R"tr14 i39?k`iif?
