WEDDINGS OF INTEREST
Ullerick -- Wagner
St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Zurich, decorated with candelab-
ra baskets of lilies and pink snap-
dragons, was the ,setting on Sat-
urday,
turday, July 9, at 2 p.rn,, for the
wedding of Helen Marlene Wag-
ner, Zurich, and Orval Howard Ul-
lerick, London. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon-
ard Wagner, Zurich, and the groom
is the son of Mr. Edward Ullerick,
and the late Mrs. Ullerick, of 406
Salisbury St., London. The Rev.
W. P. Fisoher, Zurich, performed
the double -ring ceremony, wilt
Mr, Ronald Heirnrich as soloist
and Mrs. John Turkh:eitn as organ-
ist.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, was gowned in a floor-
length gown of pure white silk
organza over tulle and bridal taf-
feta. Appliques of Aleneon lace
graced the gown and the Sabrina
neckline also a featured a front
insertion of Alencon lace. The flit-
ted bodice was styled with short
gathered sleeves and matching
gloves. A dainty crown of pearls
and irridescent sequins held the
double French illusion veil. She
carried a crested Bible of pink
sweetheart roses.
Mrs. Arnold Meyer, Mt. Pleas-
ant, Michigan, was matron of ho-
nor, wearing a pink silk ,organza
dress and she carried a cascade
of pink carnations and white shiasta
mums. Bridesmaids were Miss
Grace Fischer, Kitchener, and
Miss Dorothy Wagner, Zurich, sis-
ter of he bride. Flower girl was
Miss Tracey Ullerick, London, ni-
ece of the groom, and they car-
ried nosegay flowers of white poms
and pink sweetheart roses.
Mr. Naif Shaheen, Woodstock,
was groomsman. Ushers were Mr.
Bab Mereu, London, and Mr. Gor-
don Ullerick, London, brother of
the groom.
A reception was held in the
church parlour, The bride's mo-
ther wore a navy sheer dress with
navy and white accessories and
a corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
For a travelling costume to
Eastern Canada and the U.S. the
bride chose a mauve silk sheath

Elaine Elizabeth Grainger, dau-
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell
Grainger, Zurich, exchanged wed-
ding vows with Edward Albert
Deichert, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Deichert, Zurich, in the
Evangelical United Brethren
Church, Zurich, on July 9, 1960, at
2 pan.
Rev. A. M. Amacher performed
the double -ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er the bride was lovely in a floor-
length
loorlength gown in silk organza and
lace insertion. The fitted bodice,
featured shirred brief sleeves with
lily point gloves and a glittered
neckline. The full bouffant skirt
was trimmed with a lace insertion
flowing into a Cathedral train ef-
fect and was worn over bridal sa-
tin and a hoop. She carried a
white Bible with pink carnations.
Maid of honour, Miss Mary
Grainger, sister of the bride, and
bridesmaid Miss Margaret Deich-
ert, Kitchener, sister of the groom
and Miss Helen Grainger, Zurich,
sister of the bride wore similar
balerina length dresses of white
flocked velva ray silk organza
worn over Hyacinth blue silk with
a fitted bodice, Bertha collar neck-
line and a full bouffant skirt. Their
headdresses were matching tierras
with face veils and they carried
cascades of pink carnations.
Groomsman. was Claire Deich-
ert, Zurich, brother of the groom,
and Earl Deichert, Zurich, brother
of the groom, and Raymond Scot-
chmer, Bayfield, cousin of the
bride, were ushers.
Mrs. Don Kingsbury, Bayfield,
sang The Lord's Prayer and The
Wedding Prayer and was accom-
panied by the organist, Mrs, Ray
Huether, Clinton.
The church basement was de-
corated with pink and white strea-
mers and pink and white table
centers for the wedding recep-
tion.
The bride's mother chose a mink
with white accessories and an or-
chid corsage. On their return, the
young couple will! reside at 740
Valetta St., London. Both are gra-
duates of London Teachers' Col-
lege.

TB Survey
Arrangements have been made
for interviews on television and
radio with local people with re-
gard to the TB detection survey
being carried out in Huron County
in July and August.
Next Wednesday afternoon, Ju-
ly 13, on CK111X - TV, with Miss
Anna McDonald on the "M'Lady"
show, two Seaforth ladles will ap-
pear, They are Mrs. J. B. Russell,
secretary of the Huron Tuberculo-
sis Association and Mrs. W. L.
Whyte, well known leader in wo-
men's groups and political affairs.
During the Focus show en Tues-
day evening, July 19, Dr. J. C.
Ross, Goderich, will be interview-
ed. Dr, Ross has been active in
the work of planning the current
TB survey.

staff.

Then on Friday, July 15, over
CFPL-TV, London, on the "At
Home" show about 4 o'clock, two
ladies from the Exeter area will
be interviewed. They are Mrs.
Winston. Shapton and Mrs. Harry
Dougall, both of whom are well
known in the southern part of the
county.
.A radio broadcast is being arran-
ged over CKNX-Radio, in which
Mrs. Stanley Bride, Fordwich,
Guelph Area Chairman for the
Women's Institute, will be featur-
ed. Date and time for this show are
not yet known.
