Mrs L J Kraft was agreeably surp-
rised last Friday night when a num-
ber of her old friends and neighbors of
the Goshen Line south spent the eve-
ning at her home, it being the anniv-
ersary of her birthday.
The annual convention of the Ont-
ario Beekeepers' Association will be
held in Toronto on Tuesday to Tburs-
dap, November 28rd, 24th and 25th.
An interesting programme is being
prepared for the occasion.
Tuberculosis Sunday will be observ-
ed in the churches throughout Ontario
on Sunday, Nov 14th. This is the
fourth year that such a day has been
observed and it has been shown that
they are very necessary in educating
the people of the needless suffering
through consumption.
Anyone desiring to send boxes to
soldiers in the trenches should follow
these instructions. Place the goods in
a tin box and seal tightly. The goods
must not weigh more than 11 lbs
and each article should be wrapped
in paper. On the outside of the box
mark plainly what is inside as eatables
smokes, etc. The charges are 40 cents
for the first pound and 8 cents for
every extra pound.
