daughter of Mr Joslan Geiger narrowly
escaped serioctr iniury, while playing
near t erilinne on main '°" stteet. She
vas knocked down by a horse,' but
by the merest chance was not trampl-
ed upon as the horse walked on. The
little one escaped with, only ; a few
bruises.

ths since we undertook its manage-
ment we fully realize that the, weekly
ne'w'spaper has to have the loyal sup-
port of the community, and we desire
to thank our many friends and corres-
pondents for the way in which they
have helped us, and our aim will be to
keep on improving the Herald so that
we shall merit the support extended to
us.
