The members of the Luther League
of the Lutheran church held an enj-
oyable picnic at Grand Bend. last Fri-
day. The day was an ideal : one for
such an event and all helped to make
it a success: In a baseball game be-
tween members of the League and.
a team from Grand Bend, the former
won out by a score of 8.6.
BASEBALL
Zurich now has three baseball team
The "Midgets," the intermediatexdand'
the seniors and they are all winners,
at least they have won ali gaiates play-
ed but one thls season. ' On Monday
eve of last week the "Midgets" played
a team from Hensall on the local
diamond and came out on top by the
score of 13--8. The return game was
played in Hensel' on Monday eve and.
after the smoke had cleared off -and
the count taken, the Zurich Midgets
were found to be very much on ' the
top by the score of 21--7. Both games
were interesting and the Youngsters
play good ball.
On Tuesday eve the Dashwood in-
termediate team played on the local
diamond. The grime was a good one -
and some sharp plays were made. At
the end of nine innings Zurich wasorr
top by the snore, of 6-8. Zurich lined
