LEG FRACTURED 'While administering medicine to n horse last Saturday night, Mr E W Stoskopf, veterinery surgeon, was knocked down and traniple3 upon by the animal, with the result that his one leg was badly fractured in two places and he also sustained a number of other injuries, It will be a month or morebefore he can recover from the effects of his injuries. SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL The social held on the parsonage lawn last Thursday evening, under the auspices of the Ladies' Aid Society of the Lutheran church, was : one of the most successful ever held in Zuricla The weather was ideal for such an event and the crowd was large, tatting. to the utmost the ability of the ladies'. who bad charge of serving the refresh- ments. Aninteresting program was given during theevening, consisting of selections by the orchestra, violin selections, songs, choruses, and Piano selections. Mr Oscar Mope acted as chairman, The proceeds of the even- ing amounted to overone hundred and twenty dollars.
