and relatives gathered at the home

Denomme. He is in good spirits and
quite smart for his age. A pleasant
evening was spent and enjoyed by

A number from here attended the
clinic held in Goderich on Saturday
last. This was put on by the Lions
Club of Huron County for anedical
examination of crippledchildren of
the county and a great deal of good
is being done.
James Henry of Victoria, 13. C., is
vieititg friends in town. •
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McMartin and
daughter of Baerie, spent a few, days
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. Bon-
thron. -
At her home on Thursday morning,
the -death took place of Mrs. George
Douglas, whose Maiden name was
Margaret Logan of Varna. She
leaves to mourn her loss, her husb-
and, George Douglas and one dau-
ghter, Miss Irene, at home, and three
sisters and one brother. Mrs. Doug -
lag had been in failing health for
nearly two years and was in her 62
year. Before moving to Hensall, tha
family lived at Zurich, and formerly
near Blake. The funeral was held on
Saturday to the Union Cemetery,
and was largely attended.
E. Rennie has sold the part of the
block rented by Bonthron & Drysdale
to that firm.
