While the price of hweat in the
United States has been running as
high as $3 a bushel, and Canad-
ian farmers have been complain-
ing that their product has been
disposed of at too low a figure,
statistics submitted to the annuli
ebnvention of the United Farm-
ers of Alberta indicate that when
the final distribution is made on
participation certificates the av-
erage price of Canadien wheat will,
be above that of the United States
wheat.
Students trying examinations foe
normal and faeulty entrance and
matriculation are in future to be
given two chances during the year
according to R. H. Grant, minister
of education, who issued a state-
nseht recently. Candidated who
cannot try or hwo fail at Stine
examinations may write in Sept-
ember. The minister has also dec
ided to make certain coecieossas to
candidates in departmental exam:n-
o:liens. A candidate whose fail -
ren is due solely to a failure on
eine paper may complete his st-
anding by writing on that paper
