Most of us are comfortable. But
most of us are complaining as if
we were destitute.
Mrs. J. Wing, of Kitchener, is
spending the week at the home of
her another, Mrs. P. Haugh.
If we must wear overalls let
them, have a bib reaching up to the
nose, so as to obviate 'pile neces-
sity of shaving and of wearing a
vest, collar and tie.
Several cases of scarlet fever
have broke out on the 14th con.
Hay, as a consequence the public
school No. 12 has been closed. But
with the good medical aid and
precaution it is receiving, it will,
we hope, be soon under control.
Mr. Cyrus Colosky has received
the entire Clydesdale horse "Gol-
den Ball" from Mr. J. J. Miller,
near Exeter, and will manage same
for the corning season. This is
indeed a fine horse, has the best
of breeding and the kind that get
the good prices these days.

WE ARE SLAVES OF
FASHION
We are nearly all of us the ab-
ject slaves of fashion. Men and
women force their feet into point-
ed narrow shoes—shoes which
are about as unlike the human foot
as they can be. Not only are the
shoes a constant torture* to their
weluers, but they work permanent
injury to the fret. Every per-
son who uses his powers of ob-
servation in the most moderate
way hos noted the large propor-
tion of pocbu extertnitir's afflicted
with "bunions" and other unsight-
ly deformities.

near nor scratch white.
We, invite you to call and discuss -this method
of beautifying and protecting your floors. We
