The .Zurch Baseball Team jour-
neyed. to Oltnton on May 24th, won
two well played games, and ret-
urned in the evening wi:h a cash'
prize of $10.uu and a handsome sil-
ver scup donated by tiie G. W. V.
A., 'Ciintoni In the first game
Zurdehh met Brussels in the prelim-
inaries and won out by the score
ox 8-2. In the second game they
played Clanton, winners of the
Goderich—Clinton game in the
morning, and Zurich won by the
score. of 8 to 5. The games were
good exhibition of baseball and
were marked by numerous brilliant
play s.
In the firs: game the Zurich tea
lined up as follows;—
Ed. Wurm, catcher.
Clarence Hoffman, pitcher;
W. F. Braun, 1st base.
Clayton Hoffman, 2nd base;
R Kalbfleisch, 3rd base;
Ler; Hoffman,; .short stop;
Nicholson; left field.;
Chas. Silber, center. field;
Beeswax, right field.
.Ln the second game the line-up
was the same, except that Lee
Hoffman occupied the pitcher's
box end (Clarence Hoffman play-
ed short stop.
Both pitchers deserve credit for
the effective way in which t hey
held the hits well scattered. The
veteran catcher, Mr. Ed. Wurmy
also piayjed a remarkable game'
incl showed up in his old time form
No little credit is due to the root-
ers who cheered along the boy
to victory. In fact, they were
'half of the battle, stuck to their
posts like men, even though they

petition for boys and girls under
17 years to be held in connection
with the Zurich Fall Fair. Lib -
