Womens' Institute
The annual meeting of the Zurich
Women's Institute was held in the
Town Hall auditorium on Monday
evening, May 2nd, with Mrs. E. F.
Klopp presiding. A. short program
of Community Songs and an Instru-
mental by Miss Lenora Haberer fol-
lowed. Gratifying reports were giv-
en t
y officers and committees of the
ifferent branches of the Society.,
which showed that splendid work and
aithful interest had been taken in
the organization. The Treasury show -
d a balance of $93;00 for the year.

at London last week, with her sister-

the hospital.

The death. of Mr. Quimbe Taggart
Taggart took place at his: ;ate home
in South Bend, Ind., on. Sunday, Apr-
il 24.th, in his 6lst year; Deceased
having been a sufferer from cancer,
and: having returned from a trip to
Florida, where he had spent the past
two month, only a day previous to
his parting. He was known to many
in Zurich and Grand fiend where he
had spent the past few summers. He
was indeed a very pleasant and cheer-
ul person to meet, and in his time
had helped along many a one in dis-
.r iss. The funeral was held at South
Bend on Wednesday afternoon. Be-
sides his bereft widow Mrs. Taggart,
(nee Elizabeth Hess) formerly of
urich, and sister to Messrs. Andrew
ind George Hess of Zurich; also 3
brothers and one sister survive. A-
mong those whe attended the funeral
from Zurich were: Mr, and Mrs. An-
drew F. Hess and three sons, Mr.
Earl Yungblut, Mr. and Mrs, Geo:go
':lees, Mr. and Mrs. E, )3', Klopp, and
iMiss Ethel Ness.
