a banner year.

Several "quiet" weddings are re-
ported lately. Let us hope this is not
the calm before the storm.
Ontario has now 1,150 Women's
Institutes with a membership of more
than 40,000; and the movement only
started in 1897.
The demand for Canada's free land
increases slowly. The first three
months of 1980 there were2.564
homestead entries as against 2,405

Still we wonder what is to become of ufadthres this product addressed the
some of our young people who are gathering, and encouraged the farm -
having a lot money spent on them

talking with a farmer after the meet-

writer that if a man would come a-

market for last year's crop, it would
be i'von more valuable mrormation.
But here's hoping for better condit-

be changed, that conditions will pick
up. We notice in the press that the
financial conditions in the big world's

big financiers must see better days
ahead in the near future, and we
trust they will soon reach us.
