WE MEET THE. CHALLENGE
A few years ago it seemed that the independent grocers were
unable to meet -the .competition of massed buying and distributing,
but the Superior Chain Stores met the challenge. To -day close to
seven hundred of Ontario's finest grocers still offer you the same
"old-time" courtesy and personal service, but, in addition, they of-
fer every advantage of xnassed buying ---prices are lower—quality is
ehigher—support your Superior Store—these local men are the back-
bone 4:4 your community.

Must Pay for Paper
In giving judgment against a delin-
quent subscriber recently, Judge
O'Reilly, of Cornwall, made the state-
ment that newspaper publishers had a
•hard enough time financing their bus-
iness without being done out of the
subscription. If a person wanted to
stop a newspaper the proper, way
was for him to pay all arrears, and
get a receipt, or if he was paid up,
refuse to take the paper at the poet -
office and have a record made. of .hip
refusal. A man who oWect for a
newspaper could not stop taking a
paper and expect the publisher to go
without his pay. It may be added
that no publisher wishes to force his
newtipaper on anyone and any subacr-
iha. wishing hiLi -.'rdiscontinin-:•It
