is in town Wednesday, attending the
funeral of the late Mrs. Reeler.
Mrs. Lennis Callfas and family of
Kitchener, is spending a few week's
holidays at the home of her parents,
Me. and Mrs. A. Melick.
Mr. George J. Thiel, liveryman,
has invested in a new 3 -ton Chev.
Heavy Duty Truck, which he will use
in his business.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. EiIber of De-
troit, motored over and spent holi-
days with his father, Mr. and Mrs. C.
Eilber.
Tr, and Mrs. Orville Ehnes of
Detroit, were week -end visitors at
the•Williams home.
Mr. and Mrs. W. ' H. Frank and
family of 'Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. A.
G. Edighoffer and son Grant, of
Grand Bend, were visitors at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Eilber one
day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ezra J. Smith, of
Detroit, called on friends in these
parts over the holiday. While in Zur-
ich Mr. Smith called at the Herald
Office for the weekly edition, as Mr.
Smith advised us that the Herald is
so interesting he cannot wait till he
returns to Detroit to read the one be-
ing sent him. Thanks! very much Mr
Smith for the compliment!
Mr: Harold Klopp, of Detroit, who
is visiting with his parents here at
present, had a very unpleasant ex-
perience on Tuesday evening while
driving•along the Second Concession
Hay Township, in some way in pas-
sing a load of hay, he did not notice
a concrete culvert and apparently
with the auto straddled the cement
wall at the side with the result that
he severely damaged the interior
parts of the machine, and will cost a
great d'eall ta have it repaired, as the
car is a large Buic.
Mrs. Jacob Regier Passes
An aged and highly respected resi
dent of Zurich and community passed
away very suddenly on Monday
norning.in the person of firs. Cath
rine (Kreuskopf) Regier, beloved
wife of Mr. Jacob Regier of Zurich
Mr. Regier had been out on the farm
f his son-in-law, Mr. Simon Hoffma1.
