Mousseau were on a business trip to Hamilton and Kitchener, the*past week, return- ing• with a Chev. truck, which they in- tend to convert into a gasoline truck, and also will put in a large storage tank and purchase gasoline in car load lots, which will mean a big sav- ing to thein. Whild the gasoline will not be retailed any cheaper, yet it it claimed that a much higher test of gasoline can be sold for the same money, and we wish Mr. Mousseau every success in his undertakings. On Sunday afternoon a new Ford coupe travelling at a high rate of speed on the town line west of Blake suddenly took the ditch, and it is said the car turned over three times be- fore it stopped. A number of men gathered and set the machine up a- gain on its right side, and the driver stepped in and drove off. Now that we have the care "ditch proof" again st damage, if someone will invent a car that is "collision proof" and then we can about do as we like on the highways. The weather man the past week has given us a variety of weather, considerable coolness over the week- end following the warm spell the past week. Very Little growth can be noticed the past week, in fact the night frosts early of this week have nipped off some of the more delicate plants, while others have suffered considerable. With the amount of dampness we have, if it should turn warm, we can look for a wonderful growth in the near future. The fall wheat crop, which is a failure in a groat many districts in Western Ont- ario, is looking wo»dearfully good in this section. Farmers are busy sowing their beans. We think there will not be put out so great an acre- age of beans this year as some years, Some farmers are holding on to their "est year's beans for higher prices, vhich. we are very doubtful if they rill receive. The prevailing price at present being around p.00 a bushel. j PAGE FIVE ••••••••••••••••• •r•tgvr Mr; Arthur Pigeon. was; a holiday **i1►•••••••/►,►••••*••+►4r•l+e ► visitor at his home at Stratford. • •'arm Jmplernents •was aweekad viitor with her bro- they, Mr. R. PonderingsI The quickest way to get what you want is to deserve it amdl then ask for it. To get anywhere, strike out for somewhere or you'll automatic- ally get nowhere. A nice way to live is to overlook and forgive. Expect great things of yourself. One of the ways to keep the worst from happen- ing is to prepare for it. The hireling preaches only' what nominal christ- ians desire. The man who follows the crowd will never be followed by a crowd. The dead sure thing is oft- en more dead, than sure. Unfortun- ately the midnight oil the young gen- eration burns now, is gasoline. The highest motive in church going is to get in tune with the Infinite, The churcr carries on the biggest busin- ess in the world -The Master's busin- ess and yet it is said that many of her members are only sitting around the fire keeping warm. Billy Sunday says they will continue doing so when they die.. Can it be possible? $41NPAY SERVICES Wbrsbip i A. Ma Subject ---A 'very basic, yet much ne- glected factor in Kingdom building J. B.
