Wisdom
You cannot keep your friends un-
less you learn to keek your temper,
So •keep it! Nobody wants it! And
if you wish others to enjoy your corn
pany, be cheerful and agreeable.
Boy to Father—When I grow up
Pll be a christian like "Dad" for no-
body can tell that he is one. This
Father was like a clock in the aower;
it had no hands to indicate the time.
It may have been working inside, but
it gave no testimony of it. Great
possibilities lie dornient in every,
soul. Let's help them sprout, root
and grow in us and in others by kind-
ly helpful attitudes and encourage-
ment. A gracious and helpful attit-
ude works like magic to help a broth-
er to aspire, while constant discour-
agement will dishearten even an
angel. Unfavorable and carping
criticism .persisted in is bound to
manufacture failures. Man becomes
what we told hini he was. Look for
virtues and you willfindthem. Most
people are better than we know. Are
you a scavanger who ever seeks a
foul carcass? Tis lovelier to look for
the lovely and it makes you more
beautiful while you do it. Lay aside
your whip and say it with flowers
and your results will be better with-
in and without,
