ESSEX CRYSTAL DWARF
SWEET CLOVER•
It ripen: early, generally about the
let to Uth of August, thus providing
an excellent land cleaner,' prohibiting
weed seeds to ripen with it, The seed
is smaller than the common Sweet
.Closer so that it only requires three-
fourths as much seed, or from 8 to.
10 pound: per acre. It is a wonder-
ful seeder, producing an acreage of
20 haur;hel. por acre. Tests have pro.
von that this seed will produce a vig-
•orous giowth on sand, clay, loam or
muck soil. In quality of Hay it equals
alfalfa with a greater yield per acre -
It also snakes excellent pasturage for
dairy or beef cattle, sheep or horses.
The stock thrives readily on these
fields. In using this Clover while still
green mares one of the best soil re -
builders, when plowed down. This, we
believe, is a valuable addition to the
lists of forage plants. The -name is
dericecl from Essex County, Sacra-
mento Valley, California, and the
first known crops in the Eastern
States were produced by the Huron
County growers in the Thumb of
Michigan. Seed experts and analog-
ists- familiarize it with the widely-
known Grundy County Dwarf Sweet
Clover, except that the Essex Crystal
Dwarf Sweet Clover is an earlier
ripener, its color of plant differs and
that it is larger yielder on all types
of soil than the
other clovers. Essex
Crystal Dwarf Clover rr h.as many ont-
standing & ,avant ages. It is about four 1
weeks earlier than the common Sweet 1
Clover and grows much smaller, more
branchy and lraficre and has finer
stents. It seldom grows over three
and a half feel. tall. It produces finer
]ray in large puentities, and it is a
better seeder, yielding as high as 25
bushels per acre on large acreage.
Price per bushel of seed $15.00.

ZURICH — ONT.
EASTER
Easter greets us with a message- of
joy and hope and aspiration. It per-
vades and floods our life with an ever
lasting and exultant miracle of life
and light and immortality. By an ir-
resistible human impulse we don our
finest raiment and so does nature a-
bout - discard its drab and sombre
garb of winter and put on its purple
vestirrection robes. It is God's- way
of sayiny to the children of earth that
theystoo must put on their beautiful
festal robes of righteousness and ad-
orn the heart and souland inner life
fix a manner becoming to the follow-
er of Jesus the Christ. We stand to-
day,not at the edge of a sombre tomb
but on the threshold of eternal life•
and immortal love. If it were not for
the bright hope of Easter no crepe,
or tear or sobs or dirge could express
the sorrow and woe of humanity, but
Jesus has transformed the funeral
procession into a wedding feast.
"So let us .. deck the altar with
flowers fair, pillar and chancel with
garlands rare.
