Stanley Township, 6 miles north of
Zurich. There is on' the premises 16
acres of fall wheat, some plowing is
done and the .balance in grass. Go-
od buildings, well drained and fenc- ing laid several eggs recently. This
is rather an unusual event, and
either the goose' is badly out of time
with'the season, or she must be lay-
ing eggs for "cold storage".
Mr. and Mrs. S ,th Amans, who
have resided for a number of years
on their little farm just east of the
village, are this week leaving for In-
dianapolis, Ind., where they purpose
to spend the winter months at least.
Mr. Henry Daters of New Ham-
burg, was a visitor with his son Mr.
Garnet Daters of Hay Township. Mr.
Daters also took in the fowl supper
in the Evangelical church on Wed-
nesday evening, and his many Zurich
friends were glad to see him
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Truemner of
the 14th concession, Hay Township,
are the owners of a rather product-
ive young goose, which last spring
laid a goodly number of eggs, and
produced a hatching, and now the
last few weeks she is at it again, hav-

ion services at that place in the af-

lerman, at Dashwood.
The League meeting of the Evan-
gelical church last Friday evening,
being a business meeting was in ch-
arge of the President, Mr, Newell
/alever. The leader read an interest-
ing paper. This was followed by the
regular monthly. business. The disc-
ussion leader was absent, so personal
problems were given by some of the
members. These problems were then
discussed by the members present.
We were all sorry when closing
time came. Come and join us. Our
