Farmers along the London Road
have received word from the office
of T. R. Patterson, County Engineer
at Godericla, to move back the fen-
ces facing the road. A survey of the
road was made last fall and it was
found that in most cases the fences
were encrouching upon the public
highway. The department of public
highways have directed that the
roadallowancemust be the proper
width. Stakes have been placed. at
the corner of each farm indicating
the 'proper width and... in nearly
every case the fences must be mov-
ed from one to • three feet back from
the road. In a number of cases the
fences will • interfere with the line
of trees that have been growing in
front of the farms. The government
has allowed until July 15th to have
the work completed.
