The 53rd annual meeting of the
Hay Township .Farmers' 14lutual
,Fire insurance Company will be
held in the Town Hall, ,Zurich, 'on
Monday afternoon, January 30th, 1
when the usual business will be'
transacted and the election of three
Directors. The three d irectors
whose time has expired are C. ,-
Stade, J. A. Manson and„Wm,. Con-
sitt all of whom are eligable for
re-electionsf, ,
Word has been received of the
passing away of Mr. Henry Well,
who died at 'the home of ,his .son
Air. John Well, at Pasidena, Calif-
ornia,: on Fr:day, Tannery 20th 1.928
aged 84 years and 10 months, ,He
was a brother of Mr, Herman
Well, of Detroit, Mich. The late
Mr. Well was a former resident
of Zurich, and when he left Zurich
he rn,oved to North Dakota, and
for the past. 22 years he was a
resident of California.
The 63rd annual meeting sol the
Zurich (Agricultural Society was
held 'last Thursday afternoon in
the Town Hall with a good at-
tendance. President E. F. Klopp,
acted as cha(irrnan. The Treasur-
er's 'financial report showed
nice balance on hand with the
76 paid up members for 1928, ' If
enough entries can be secured flip:
Society will enter the Standing
Crop and Threshed Competition,
Departmental judges will be em-
ployed for all outside classes ;and
ladies work. The Society will be-
come members of the Canadian
Ti o ters and Pacers A.ssocsat=on for
10.23. This was deemed necessary
to allow home races to be held
