OLD BOYS' REUNION
FOR 'ZURICH!
The above 'subject is timely and
popular. Many cities, tows, vil-
lages and diAricta throughout this
part of Ontario have within the
past years, fittingly celebrated'sizeh
a home -coming of their sons. The
year 1927 was Jubilee year for•• our
Dominion and this caused much
rejoicing in our cities. The year
1928 will be more quiet, save that
it marks the 10th Anniversary of
the close of the great war. 'Other
important features will no doubt
be' emphasized in due time.
Therefore, now is the most
suitable time for the people of
Zurich to consider the holding of
An Old Boys' Re -Union. Set the
date early and prepare with
thoughtfulness the details neces
sary. for such an coasoion. A sug-
gested time, when most of these
Re -unions are held would be
June 29 -July 2., and August 3-6.
The former includes Dominion
Day; the second Civic Holiday,.
Both include a Sunday, a Day of
Worship , The selection to please
local conditions.
•
The writer feels as well as all
thoughtful, and many interesting
readers that success would be
assured for many of Zurich's Boys
and Girl's have left their home and
town, but have not lost the love
and pleasant reflections of boy
hood days, but would gladly re-
spond to a call home for just'such
an event of history making. •
Zurich need not be ashamed of
many that have left, neither are
any ashamed to have been born,
and reared in ' a 'small tallage.
Those away from Zurich, wrho re-
ceive -theweekly 'l'news- reed .! -the
','{!'"with great interest and
eagerness: The information thus
deceived leaves a lingering and
.glorious retrospect upon the hearts
and minds of such readers.
Therefore Mr. Editor, it ishoped
that this mere indication of this
,very interesting matter may arouse
comment from other old, boys and
girls; also that the town fathers
and businesspeople will not pass
it by lightly. May we reed active
results. Thanking you for this
space.
Ani\Old Boy.
