Hartleib, Zurich. Mrs. Jacob Oesch, Goshen Line, attended the funeral of her father, Mr. Joseph Schwartzentruber at Baden, recently. Through an error the names of several were left out in our report of the recent Evangelical Conferen. ce. Rev. A. Geiger is stationed at Pembroke for another year. Dr. Oven's Surgeon, Oculist, Specialist will be at Royal Hotel, Hensall, on Friday, Apr. 23rd. Hours 9 a in to 9 p m. Glasses pro- perly fitted, Catarrh, deafness, fail- ing eyesight and throat troubles treated. Mrs. John Baltzan of North Da- kota, sister of Mrs. A. S. Faust died on Sunday the 18th inst., at the age of about 37 years. The de- ceased was a. daughter of Mrs. Levegood, who recently left here for the West. and leaves four children to mourn her death. The W. C. T. U. met for its regular meeting, in the Evangelical church, Wednesday afternoon, April 28th. The President Miss Ethel Williams, conducted the devotional exercises, after which a beautiful quartette was rendered by Mrs. Heyrock, Mrs. A. Geiger and the Misses Rennie. Rev. A. Geiger of Pembroke delivered au interesting and instructive temperance address, and the meeting elosed with singing "God be with you till we meet again." The missionary meeting held in the Baptist church Sunday after- noon, was well attended, the church being filled to its capacity. Mr, .'Ta.sker, who has just returned from India. and Egypt addressed the meeting, taking for his theme the similarity and differences be- tween the ahristian religion 'toad her religions with which he came conta.ot, impressing upon his hearers the need of finding, each for himself, the experience of heart which differentiates the gospel from other religions He inters- persed some incidents and told of some customs of other lands that added to the interest.
