down to a fowl supper so hospitably.

room was beautifully decorated with
green and red streamers and Christ-
mas bells, while the table was adorned
with beautiful 'pink. roses. After sup-
per, the guests retired to the drawing
room where the evening was enjoy-
ably spent in maple, games, and social
chat. After expressing a hearty vote
of thanks to the host and hostess, 'the
gathering dispersed after singing the
National Anthem and wishing one and
all the best compliments of the season.

the advisability of the Hydro Commis-
sion opening up a Hydro' shop, allow.

glad to inform you that the opening
our shop here has been one of the
best moves made by ou-r local Hydro
Commission since its itn option and,
would advise any municipality to fol-
low our footsteps in this matter. It
has brought to our Hydro users here,
Service, whieh, is one of the essentials
in any form of Business, We have
since opening got a fair share of the
Electrical business and have really
stimulated Electrical Trade fpr the
other Merchants, in our town instead
of being detrimental as was at first
anticipated.

encouraging for us to note that : he
says, "it is a welcome weekly visitor
in our home and it is. a fight each time
it comes for 'who is going to read it
first." He says there is very little
snow there and they are having their -
coldest weather now at about zero,
