One of the prettiest of Autumn
weddings took place at the home of
, Mr. and Mrs. J. 5. Moffat, oa Wed-
nesday, Novembes teth., ate- noon,
when their second daughter, Clarice
E. V., was united in niarriage to Mr.
Arnold J. Edgar of Wroxeter, The
ceremony was performed by Rev. C.
E. Cragg.
The bride was given in marriage by
her father arid entered the parlor to
I the straps of Lohengrin's wedding
march played by Miss Frances Moffat,
sister of the bride. The only attend-
ant was little Miss Aileen :Underwood,
niece of the bride who made a win
some little flower girl and ring bear-
er, dressed in white hand embroidered
mull and carrying an arnifel of baby
rnums ancl maiden hair fern. The bride
looked cearming in fawn silk valette
with bertha of gold lace, fawn panne
velvet hat, shoes and. gloves enstete,
wearing a corsage bouquet of eunset
roses.
During the signing of the register,
Miss Bertha McIaay sang, "Oh, prom-

Mr. Harvey Hanq of Brantford,
spent the week -end with relatives
here.
The Women's Institute has under-
taken the work of renovating the For-
esters Hall and now its interior is
much improved. The stage has been
raised so that a performance can be
viewed from all parts of the hall. The
dressing rooms have been re -arranged
and new curtains purchased for stage
and windows. Some of the men of
the community kindly gave their ser-
vices during evenings and the work

Lost In The Woods
. John- Mark, the local "washee,"
spent •a few distracting. hours on Fri-
day afternoon last that he is in uo
wise anxious to experience for some
time to conic. Deserting his wash
tubs, John ,.shouldered a gun and -.in

huntsmen journeyed to a neighboring
swamp in quest of game. Entering

party separated. Being a stranger to

like the babes in ,the woods, hopeless-

Again Breaks Jail'' •

Norval Bell, the Kin,eardine youth
who was showe such leniency , by
Klein who ordered him, to ko,
to church and Sunday School for a
year on the lad being convicted be-
fore him of stealing a bicycle, and
who repaid the Judge's generosity by
going home and swiping ze horse, fpr .
which he was sentenced to five years
in the Reformatory at Mimic°, ap-
pears to be too slick for that place,
as he has just staged his ,second get-
away from the correction plant. Fol-
lowing his first escapade he pulled off
a triple robbery by stealing -'a, Chesley
lady's preserves, an Elderslie lady's.
turkey and a heavy consignment of
goods from an Elmwood general stove.
On •being caught and convicted' he
was returned by Magistrate McNab at
Walkerton to an indefinite term at
