Councillor Haney reported for the

The reeve reported that he had been
unsuccessful in getting an increased
county grant for the hospital but had
received $800 rnore for the High
School.' He was successful in having
a bylaw passed, for $a8,000 to pay 40
per cent. on the work on Diagonal
Road and the south end of Josephine
St. The 40 per cent, will be allowed
on the entire pavement of Diagonal
Road from Josephine St. to the Blue -
vale Road corner. The reeve was
complimented on his success in get-
ting the $28,000 bylaw passed, by
Mayor Elliott and Counciller Greer.
The matter of $12,000 insurance on
the Public School Building was mein-
tioned in the auditors' geport and the
council asked Trustee A. G. Smith,
who was present, to bring the matter
before- the, school board as they did
not think this was nearly enough in-

resided with her daughter, Mrs. Mary
King and it was her intention to visit
with her son, A. J. in Wingham.
