On Monday evening the members
of Trinity Church gathered at the fine
new home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos.
Brydges and presented Miss Joseohine
,Johnson witha large number of beau-
tiful and useful gifts, many of which
were accompanied ,with good wishes
or advice in rhyme, Miss Johnson
has taken a great interest in the wel-
fare of Trinity Church being a tnsii!_
ber of the choir, teacher in the Sufi -
day School and Treasurer of tate Lad-
ies Guild and now on the eve of her
marriage the congregation took this
way of showing their appreciation.
The choir gave her a pair of beauti-
ful candlesticks. Miss 'Mildred Per-
due presenting the gift and Mrs. John
McGill reading the following address:.

Mrs. Melville Bradburn has return-
ed to her home in Hyde Park, after a
3 weeks visit a't Sumnierland Farm.
A quiet wedding was solemnized on
June 17th., at"Summerland Farm" the
home of Henry Johnson when his
daughter, Josephine J., was united in
the holy bonds of matrimony with
Wm. T. Brydges of Morris. As
11lendelssohons wedding march was
'iilayed by Mrs. Melville Bradburn of
:Hyde. Park, sister . of the bride. The
twain to be married took theirplaces
before a ,bank of ferns and flowers,
the .impressive service of the Anglican
Church being conducted by Rev. W.
B. Hawkins. The bride who was un-
attended wore a wedding gown of silk
embroidered white Rayon Crepe, car-
rying a boquet:of roses and lily of the
~valley, while the register., was being
signed, Mrs. W. B. Hawkins sang "0
Perfect Love," After congratulations
the guests sat down to a dainty wed-
ding breakfast, the bride received
many beautiful presents, among them
being a fine dining room suite in

pretty and useful articles, the grooms

Mr. and Mrs. Brydges left on the
afternoon train from Wingham "for
Guelph, Galt, London and other pla-
ces amidst showers of good' wishes
and confetti, the bride going away in
a navy suit of Poiret twill and very
becoming hat, their many friends
wishing that their married lives will
be like one long sweet stirring song,
happy while it lasts and remembered
when its gone, -
