FIND T ; E LETTER
CONTEST IS POPULAR
'The new contest ivhich started iu
'thispaper last week (Find the Letter
Contest) was popular beyond belief.
It had been our intention to give a
ticket to Lyceum 'Theatre to each :of
the first three to hand or mail in
the correct answer. It was itttpos .
sible to do this as answers were put
in the office door one hour after the
:papers were sorted in the Post Off-
ice, and it was impossible for us to
:know which were the first three. So
I've dreier to find the Winners, by put-
ting all who had correct :answers, in
,a basket, and drawing three out. Tits'
is the method we will use for the
balance of this contest.
The' winners were: Edith Finlay,
'George Robertson and Mrs.A. John-
ston, all of Wingham.
The word lest week was `Advcr
'tise", but we have a word this.week
'that will not be so easy. Here's Iuck

ANOTHER CASE
OF LOCKJAW
Raymond Henning 18 -year-old son
of Lloyd Henning, of the 6th conces-
sion of Turnberry, about two weeks
ago had a sliver forced under his
thumb nail. Little or nothing ' was
thought of the accident which was
of a minor nature, but a week ago
Saturday night, pain developed, and
by Monday he was seriously ill:
Doctors Stewart and Redmond
were called in and found that the un-
fortunate boy was suffering from
leckjaw. Fortunately some of the
anti -tetanic serum that had been pro-
cured for Bruce Campbell, was avail-
able and this was administered, and
Raymond is responding to the treat-
ment and is improving slowly.
Cases of lockjaw are not common,
but this is the second case that has
developed in this district in the last
few weeks. Bruce Campbell, a local
boy was attacked by this terrible dis-
ease a short time ago, but it blow
able to waik about, and it is hoped
that this other unfortunate young
loan will make as rapid a recovery,
