CHURCH, MEETS
Th,e Women's Association of the
United Church held a very success-
ful meeting at the home of Mrs, 11.,
Sperling on Thursday. afternoon with
the President, Mrs. W. G. Strong, in
the chair, and quilting was the or-
der of the day. During the business
period a lengthy discussion arose as
to the discontinuing of the regular
monthly fees, but it was left unde-
cided until a future meeting. The
ladies voted the Stewards of the
church a considerable sum of mon-
•ey. The meeting closed with the
hymn "Blest be the Tie that Binds,".
and prayer by the President. Lunch
was served by the hostegs assisted
by Mrs. John Strong and Mrs, V.
Shera.
