Mr. Joe Tiffin received .a very painful wound in the neck last Tues- day while working on the Gillespie ditching machine at Auburn. He was prying with a long crow -bar, when it suddenly slipped and cut two very long gashes across his throat. These have proven to be very painful and far some days he has been unable to speak, but is improving now. Mr. and Mrs. Lickley, of Toronto, who have been for some months at Kingston, Jamaica, spent last week at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Frank Henry. 'Don't forget the contest program in the Institute Hall this Friday, The regular meeting of the W. M. 5. of the 'United Church was held on Wednesday last in the church with the President, Mrs, T.
