We still have a few buildings left and some very good people. Mr. Herd' and family, who had the misfortune to lose their dwelling and store, will move into the Manse for the time being. Luckily it' is quite large enough for two families. The store was built almost seventy years ago by Mr. Embrey. Old-tim- ers who are left were sorry to see it fall prey to flames. Mr. Herd had made vast improvements and did the most of the work himself. Miss Annie Douglas, of Gorrie, and. Miss Clara Metcalf of Wingham, were at their homes here Sunday. Miss Jean Keith and Norman Ne-W- ane ew ans took -charge of the Endeavor on Sunday evening., Miss Etoile Casemore is` on the sick list. in Kitchener attending the funeral of the latter's father.
