ANNOUNCING
Our Removal to Larger and Better Quarters.
We are now open for business in the build-
ing formerly known as the South -End Garage.
W. Ingham
Wingham Tire & Vulcanizing Depot.
I hired for the following year at the
!Ripley High School,
Mr, and Mrs John Reid of Au-
burn, Mr." and Mrs Harry 'Tick
bourne, of 'Goderich, and Mr. and
Mrs, Lorne Durniit of ' St. Helens,
were guests of Mr. and Mrs. David
Kennedy on Sunday
Urs. R. Patton and Miss Lettie
Fox visited at the home of Mrs, W.
Farrier on Friday last.
The following pieces were cut from.
"The Borderline Budget," a paper
printed in Loverna, Sask., and has
reference to families who were form-
prly well-respected West Wawanosh
residents and who will be well re-
membered by many old friends of the
Tisdale families,
"In the final game', of the horseshoe
pitching competition at the Alsask
sports day held on Victoria ;Day,
Dave and Walter. Tisdale won from
Albert and Leroy Tisdale in a close
ly contested game. During the game
four ringers were thrown on one
peg making a dead end. The Tis-
dale men have proved, themselves at
many tournaments as masters in the
art of tossing the, horseslippers."
"Loverna district would have en-
joyed the privilege of witnessing the
colorful ceremony and brilliant gath-
ering which marked the annual con-
vocation of the. University of Saskat-
chewan, held in Saskatoon last. Fri-
day afternoon.

Convocation this year saw two of
Lovernadistrict's young men receive
degrees. Leroy Tisdale, son of Mr.
and Mrs. D. Tisdale, was recipient
of the degree of Bachelor of Science.
Charles Lee, eldest son of Mr. and
Mrs. E. E. Lee, was one of nine grad-
uating with a Master of Arts degree,
and is doubtless the first from the
district to attain similar standing.
Leroy''s degree is one more step to-
ward a medical diploma, while Char-
lie has been specializing on the study
of 'economics, which paves the way
tc a carreer in business or educa-
tion.
Our congratulations have been
well earned by both young men,
whose careers we shall continue to
follow with more than passing inter-
est."

For the past three years the De -
been locating fertility demonstration
tests on farms in various parts of
the province. It is felt that farm-
ers place much more faith in tests
which are conducted on their own
farms than they do in figures .gath-
ered from tests made at a distance.
The farmers of Huron County will
be interested to learn the location
of the tests now in progress and of
those which were conducted last year
in their County. Following •are the

It is the desire of the Department
of Chemistry and' your Agricultural
Representative who, assisted in the lo-
cation of these tests, that you visit
one or more of these tests during the
growing season and study for your-
selves the results that are apparent.
Wleere tests were conducted last year
as a rule tta farther fertilizers have
rbeeti added, so that results you see
here are entirely from the hangover
effect of what
was applied last 'year.
The tests have been carefully laid
out by representatives of the Depart-
ment of Chemistry, and the plots are
all slumbered and treatments are
printed oq the stakes, so that visitors
can get the facts quickly. Students.
and alumni of the O A,C.' will be
specially interested` rn these demon-
strations, ' Set aside a few'hours' to
visit the tests' in your own County.
The time will be well spent.
