Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Anderson and
family of Ashfield, and Mr. and Mrs.
Jacob Reed of Dungannon visited on
Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs,
Bert Reed.
We are sorry to hear that the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McInnis
of near Teeswater, was destroyed by
fire on Friday last. A spark had set
the roof on fire.
Mr. and Mrs. John Clubb and Mr.
Price Scott motored to Brucefield
one day last week and Mrs. Clubb's
sister, Mrs. Stewart from Manitoba,
returned with them,.
Quite a number from this com-
munity took part in the contest put
on in Chesley on May 28 and 29 by
the Junior Farmers and Young Wo-
men's Institute. Geo. Kennedy is
President and much credit is due to
him.
Mrs. Alec. Reid left on. Monday to
visit her daughter in Lucknow.
The W. M. .S.' of the'United church
held their teas last Wednesday at the
homes of . Mrs, Mac Ross and Mrs.
Wightman. .
This community extends sympathy
to Mr. Jas. Wilson, whose mother
passed away in Wingham on Sun-
day morning.

land Miss Florence Purdon, spent the

Miss Etta Taylor had the misfor-
tune to fall and break her arm and
shoulder bone one day last week.

for Wingham Hospital for treatment
on her throat.
Mr. Jamieson Pettapiece was op-
erated on in Wingham General Hos-
pital on Monday.
