Mr. Mann held an appropriate Easter service in the United Church on Sunday evening. In the :Horning the Women's Missionary Society held an Easter Thank -Offering service. The choir was composed of members of the society. Mr. Rann• addressed the congregation . in place of Miss Clarice, returned missionary, who was linable to make the distance from her Lohse at Teeswater, owing to the bad roads. Coultes. At the missionary meeting on March 4th, Mrs. James Wightrnan gave the first of a series of topics on 'The New North." During the past few months the Society has stud- ied the book "Fruits of Christian Missions in Japan and for the fol- lowing months will study our; own Canadian Northland. The musical number for this meet- ing was a solo by Norman Keating entitled "An Evening Prayer." At the second meeting held March llth, Mrs. Scobie gave an excellent. paper from the study book "The Christ of Every Road" on "Penticost and Modern Fads." • Jack Coultes gave a vocal solo "He hideth my soul." Doherty will have lis trial in a couple of reeks. Wm.
